Myntra has managed to outdo itself yet again. While the first Mynra Big fashion Gig which was held earlier in 2017 was the Bollywood biggies coming together- like Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, who were in conversation with Myntra about their idea and approach to fashion. Both own and run a fashion label exclusively on Myntra. HRX by Hrithik Roshan and Deepika’s All About You.
While the first event was star studded, full of fashion icons of the country this time Myntra decided to turn to its beloved customers to be a bigger part of the Big Fashion Gig event at Myntra. The role this time included being over and above being just an audience and observers. Everybody had the chance to directly participate in the event, while also contribute to a worthy cause. The deal for the customers was to let go of their old wardrobe, which they did not use anymore and was just lying around- and exchange it for redeemable points to get discounts on the latest fashion at Myntra. Talk about a sweet deal- so all the customers had the chance to get new clothes in exchange of old ones. The collected clothes were then distributed and channeled to far-flung villages by a Delhi based NGO called GOONJ. These clothes, which were otherwise just sitting inside urban homes would prove most useful in such areas, as the winter approaches and it starts getting chiller than ever.
Myntra knows that most of its customers want to participate in contributing for a good cause. Its h8uman nature to be able to help someone in need. Even though philanthropy comes up from these but the real reason why people mostly want to help others in needs, is to get a sense of satisfaction for themselves as well. In a world with so many sufferings, and so much chaos, even people who are capable to help others and have ample resources to give a helping hand to at least a few people- even these kind of people are left lost when trying to do their bit. Getting around to actually helping a person in needs validates people that they have done their bit. So if you do anything to help another person in need, whether big or small, you end up not just making the world a better place for someone and make their lives easier- but you also end up feeling more satisfied and more validated which can in turn lead to your own happiness and peace.
For the bit where customers get to pick the latest fashion brands when redeeming their points, Myntra released new collections from various top national and international brands like as Roadster, HRX, All About You, Anouk and Dressberry in the national scene and Tommy Hilfiger, Jack & Jones, UCB, Vero Moda, Forever 21, Nike, Adidas, Puma, AND and USPA globally.
Myntra has been one of the most socially aware and in-conversation brands in India. Not only with its strong and empowering TV ads which always have a message for its customers. But Myntra also has its hands in initiatives like make in India, where it is focusing on bringing up the forgotten weavers and artisans of the country.
