ESDS recently on-boarded GS Murthy as the new Global CEO. Murthy has been working in the Information Technology industry since the last 19 years and has played several roles in top international IT companies like Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP, Oracle and IBM. In his last role as the Chief Technology Officer and Global Head – Solution & Technology (Global System Integrators) at HPE, Murthy ably led the pre-sales and consulting alliance executive teams for GSI-I6 business globally.
Expressing his excitement on joining ESDS, Murthy said, “As a CEO I will be driving global business and growth. ESDS’ patented technology is a great testimony to deliver a fast, simple, outstanding and contented cloud experience for all customers. I am sure about creating a competitive advantage for ESDS’ partners and customers world-wide as they venture on their digital transformation journey.”
Piyush Somani, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, ESDS has been an admirer of GS Murthy as an individual and also as a technocrat. “Murthy took a courageous decision of joining a services company after working for 19 years with top MNCs & IT enterprises at the management level,” he said and further added that looking at a manifold growth over the next few years, ESDS aims to become a platform where top talents from the industry can thrive and jointly contribute to the development of the cloud sector.
Here is an excerpt from an interview with GS Murthy…
Q: What, according to you, are ESDS’ unique points that you will push forward in the market?
GS Murthy: ESDS’ leadership skills, customer focus, lifetime relationship with the customers and technological expertise are a few of its unique points. ESDS currently is addressing real-time customer issues with a number of its technical strong points. The IT market is very chaotic and the number of technological advances is puzzling the clients in terms of what they actually need to adapt to grow their businesses. With ESDS I plan to iron out all these confusions. Today, Cloud is the catalyst that can take businesses to a different level and give you the desired ROIs. Without Cloud none of the contemporary IT platforms like IoT, AI, high performance, new technologies in banking, mobility, etc would have performed well and without digital transformation businesses across any verticals can’t sustain. And, ESDS has this exclusive technical expertise that no one in the market possess – vertical auto-scaling. This key differentiator of ESDS is eventually going to make businesses succeed with its cost control mechanism.
Q: How do you foresee ESDS under your leadership over the next year?
GS Murthy: We should not hesitate to aim 10 times growth from where we are today. The factors that ESDS needs to go global is a cloud setup and the run experience, and we have both. The best part of my previous stint with HPE was managing system integrator partners, who are big managed service players and I have driven billions dollar of income with them globally. I have done this across the product portfolio of HPE. At ESDS my goal includes marrying the strengths of ESDS with the MSP understanding I bring and giving birth to a massive growing incubation channel for us. I am looking at multiple geographies where we at ESDS should be spending our time and money.
